  2. There was a hedge school in Meenagisagh, Gneeveguilla Co. Kerry. Daniel Hurley was the teacher. He had sixty three pupils attending school - boys and girls. There was a hedge school at Park in the farm of Patrick Breen. The teacher was Timothy Cronin. The pupils used trees and planks to sit on. The language taught was English.
