- Mr Longfield is the local landlord. The family had been settled in the district with two hundred years. They were looked upon as good landlords. Evictions have been taken place in the district. The evicted people went to America and some of them lived in mud cabins. They got the land from Oliver Cromwell. The land was divided into farms under their guidance. Farms were sub-divided among members of families.
