  1. Long ago boy's used to make tops out of a thick limb of a tree. They used to cut the makings of three or four tops out of the limb, they used to point the top at the bottom and put a worn stud in it. They used to make snares out of brass wire, they used to put six pieces of wire together and twist them, the snares used to be set where the rabbit came out of the burrow. They used to make a football out of a pig's bladder. First they used to fill it then they would let it get dry before they would play it.
