  1. While sitting in a neighbour's house in the country I heard a funny story after the hard day's threshing. An old man named Jim Lynch said how he saw "Jack the Lantern".
"One foggy night" he said "a cow got sick and I had to get a veterinary surgeon. I passed through the wood in front of our house, I startled the birds from their sleeping place. I came out into the open again and saw a light in Murphy's. I will go through the bawn field next to the house. I got into the field but the light which was supposed to be from Murphy's house was not from that house at all.
I kept walking north and there I thought I saw the surgeon's house. The light was in the window next to me. The same thing happened again. If I kept walking the light was moving also.
