    "There were two of the "Dubh"s. Donnchadh Dubh an Dómhnall Dubh. Their mother used to say to them -
    "Oidhche gharbh ghaothmhar réiltannach gan bheith fliuch
    Dá mb' orm-sa a bheadh an bríste is fadó do bheadh caoire againn ón gcnoc"
    They are buried in Fanlobush.
    One of them was staying the night in a house near Clonakilty when he was captured. A servant in the house put water in his powder horn. She didn't meddle with his pistols and blunderbus, and with these he killed a few soldiers before he was captured."
