    As the Muskerry sportsmen assembled one day,
    On the borders of Rylane, most brightly and gay.
    The hounds were just yelling around for fresh game,
    The moment they entered in Patsie's demesne.

    He played around his cover, for more than an hour,
    And straight made his way out for Carrigagour.
    The hounds and the huntsmen, they close did pursue,
    O 'Patsy' keep sounding your 'Wild Barraboo'.

    How nicely poor Reynard slipped out of the glen,
    Although being surrounded by hundreds of men.
    The Colonel crys "Hunt him "boys" Hark and Hallo",
    Oh 'Patsy' keep shouting your 'Wild Barraboo'.

    On each side of the glen, there was a very large crowd,
    When the bugles were sounding, the glen did resound.
