  1. One bright moonlight night an old man happened to be going home from Drimoleague and his way led across the fields through Derrygrea, This old man had a great hump on his shoulders. When passing along the field in which the Lios is he heard beautiful music the sweetest he thought he ever heard. He stood for a little while and listened - then he saw the little people coming towards and heard the words they were singing. This is what he heard : -
    De Luain is Dé Máirt
    Dé Luain is Dé Mairt
    De Luain is De Máirt
    Is Dé Diardaoin.
