    Oh God be with you Dimoleague and High St there my home And parents kind and brothers fond

    This song was composed by a man by the name of Coakley who lived in Drimoleague some years ago. He emigrated to America and while there he composed the song which is known in this district and is usually sung at threshings and such like functions in the country.

    To a distant land neath alien skies
    A rover here am I
    But where ere I roam I'm proud to own
