  1. Once upon a time there lived a man who was very fond of playing cards One night when he was coming home after playing a game he met a little man who had a red coat and a beard down to his knees. The little man asked him to play a game and he did so and won. Then the little man said that whatever he would require he would get it and if he did'nt he would have power to cut off his head. The man said he would like to see his father's field covered with cattle in the morning and it was so.
    The next night he met the little man again. They played another game and he won and this time the fields were covered with sheep the next morning. The third night they played another game but this time the little man won and then it was his turn to ask for his request. The little man said he would have to get the iron bar from hell
