  1. Taking butter from Kerry to Cork in Olden Times
    In olden times people took their butter to Cork in Ferkins on horses back on ____________ . Two Ferkins were tied on either side of the horse and one on the horses back . The people travelling from the south side of the parish o from Kilgarvan went up through aneemore on to aneebeag then to Carrigavanna and down the steep path to Drom. Thence along the foot of the hills through Rathmore.
