  1. Long ago there lived a woman and she had alot of children and she was very poor. Her husband had died when he was young. All the children shoes were broken and her own shoes were broken and she was too poor to hope to mend them.
A shoemaker was living near her so one night she put her own shoes outside the door and when she got up in the morning the shoes were mended so the next night she put the childrens shoes outside the door and in the morning when she got up they were all mended and she was delighted.
