    that when the old Abbey was destroyed by Cromwell's soldiers the bell from its tower was thrown into Poll Gorm where it remains to this day.

  2. Once upon a time a farmer lived not far from my house. He had five or six cows and every morning there was one of them milked.
    One night, he stayed up to watch who was the thief. At about one o'clock in the morning a hare came in. and the cow stood up. He started milking the cow. The farmer fired a shot at the hare, and after he going the ground was stained with blood. The farmer understood then that it was no thief but the hare.
