The woodcutter told him all. When he had finished the stranger told him he would make a rich man of him on one condition.
The woodcutter said he would agree to anything for the sake of his children. The stranger told him that the King's Daughter was dying and that several Doctors had failed to cure her. He gave the woodcutter a small bottle and told him to go to the Palace as an Irish doctor and use a few drops out of the bottle and the the Princess would be cured.
The woodcutter started out for the Castle. He told the King that he was an Irish Doctor who came to cure his daughter. The King told him he would make a rich man of him if he was successful. The woodcutter went to the Princess's chamber and gave a few drops out of the bottle to her.
In three days she was up and well. The King paid the woodcutter and he was never short again. I got the above from my mother Mrs. Patrick Matthews.
