Sad and mournful is the tale
Which I am forced to tell.
From Ballyheigue to Abbeyfeale
We mourned their loss as well,
Where are the men who raised the flag.
And freedom's sword did draw?
Who trampled down the English rag.?
The Boys of Sweet Duagh.

When Kerymen from far and near
Attended Brosna raid,
Who were the first that did appear,
And started to blockade -.?
