In the year eighteen ninety two a great blizzard occured in this parish. The people had to keep indoors, as the snow was as high as the roofs of the houses.
There were about ten sheep in Parson Fitzmaurice's farm and they were buried in the snow except their nostrils. They found them after a few day, they were all alive except one that was very weak and it died.
Four heifers belonging to Dan Mc Auliffe of Creggane were frozen
