    of Lower Polredmond, Williamstown, Co. Galway. He used to jump a wall six foot high. There was a great mower in Shramore which is in the Williamstown School district. He used to mow an acre in a day.
    In Milltown, Co. Galway there lived a man named John Kelly who was a great runner. He used to run a mile in a quarter of an hour.

  2. John Costello of Island's West, Williamstown, Co. Galway was a great walker. One morning he set out walking at sun-rise for Ballinasloe and was home again before sun-set. Patrick Coyne of Meelick, Glenamaddy, Co. Galway walked from his home in Meelick to Galway. James Cunniffe of Claddagh, Cloonberne, Co. Galway mowed two acres in a day. He was called the "two acre man." John Dolan and his sister Mary of Cloonkeen, Glenamaddy, Co. Galway were noted Irish step-dancers.
