- In another house there lived a man and a woman.One night the man was gone to bed and the woman was raking the fire and her clothes caught fire.She went up in the loft and the loft caught fire and the house was burned to the bottom.
- One night another house was burned to the bottom. While the family were in bed the fire not being raked well lighted up. A spark of fire went out the chimney and burned the thatch.
