    Then it would be taken out of the bog-hole and spread out for bleaching in a field. After that it was gathered up again in bundles and dried over the fire to make it brittle for hackling. When hackled the women would spin it with a linen wheel, and then send it to the weaver to be woven into linen cloth. Broderick's have a linen table-cloth made by their grandmother 60 or 70 years ago.
