    again in a day, a journey of about sixty miles.
    Peter Dervan in the townland of Allygoola Parish of Ballinaskill, Barony of Leitrim was a great runner and he was supposed to be able to run a mile in five minutes. He won many prizes for foot racing.
    One day there were sports held in Ballinakill and competed in a race but he did not win. That evening when he went home he went to bed and he died shortly after. He is about thirty-two years dead now.
