- Religious StoriesThere was a priest who lived in Kylemore in the parish of Abbey (Co. Galway) and his name was Fr. Donnelly. He did something wrong and he was silenced. he was not let read Mass.
Some time after that there was a station in a house and he was present. When the other priest was lighting the candles they would not light for him.. He had to ask Fr. Donnelly to light them and when he raised his hands over them they lighted.
It was said that he had a lot more power after being silenced than any other priest. It was said that there would never be a Fr. Donnelly again.
