(continued from previous page)next thing that she met was a cow and the cow said milk me and she did and the next thing she met was a horse and the horse said scratch me and she did. She went on until she met a mill and the mill said twist me and she did and she hid behind it. When the woman came home the bag of gold was gone and she went after the girl and she met the sheep and she said "sheep of mine sheep of mine did you see that maid of mine with the wig and the wag and the long leather bag that stole all the money I had. No said the sheep and the cow said the same thing and the horse and the mill. The girl went home to her mother and they lived happy ever after with the bag of gold.
