    potatoes. The people of the house that pick the potatoes.
    First they pick the big ones and pick them into pits, then they pick the small ones and put them into bags and use them for hens and pigs. When winter comes they are brought into the garden and put in big pits.
    The local names for the potatoes are Flounders, champions, up to daths, queens, epecure, and kerry pinks. The champions are usually used for table use the others are mostly used for foul.
    Sometimes potatoes are used instead of starch.
