  1. There was a castle in Carrinlough, Irishtown, Co. Mayo, and there was a road leading from it to Irishtown.
    There were very old roads in the district. They are not used now. There were paths long ago but there are very few now. The old roads are about two hundred years old.
    There is an ornamented stone in the old road.
    In one side of the road there is a cross where a man got killed long ago
