    They got a bit of elder stick and shaped it like a revolver. They then got a red poker and burned a hole in it.
    They also made a trap to catch birds. If it was snowing they got a "sciathóg" and they put a piece of bread under it and they put a twig a couple of inches long in. Then they tied a string to the twig, and when the bird went in for the bread they pulled the string and the "sciathóg" fell and the bird was caught.
