  1. In Cappanagoul, parish of Freemount, Charleville Co. Cork, there are two forts in the land of Mr. Daniel Scully. They are in view of one another and in the land bounding the farm there is another fort which is in line with the others.
    They are all circular in shape, and there is a [?] of earth around them; and in one of them there are trees on top of the earth.
    Nobody knows if there is an entrance hole in the fort.
    The former owner of the land gave a certain poor man the trees around the fort, and after that incident he was known to get on better.
    These forts were never ploughed; but the cattle and horses are allowed in there.
