  1. The most harmful weeds growing in my farm at home are the thistle, the dock-leaf, the nettle, geósadág. They are all harmful because they spread rapidly and impoverish the soil.
The geósadág it is said here grows only where the land is good.
The Nettle and dockleaf and thistle grow mostly on poor land.
The root of the dockleaf is said to be a cure for boils when boiled and also the leaf of it is good for healing up the sting caused by the burn of nettle.
Dockleaves are given as food to milch cows and nettles are sometimes boiled with bacon and eaten by people when cabbage and greens are scarce.
I have never heard of them being used as poison or for dyeing.
