    My homeland is situated in the townland of Ballygilchriest, in the parish of Granard, Co. Longford and I live about two miles from the town of Granard.
    There are nine slated houses and four thatched ones in my district and there are only three old people living in it.
    The name most common in my townland is Reilly. The old people do not know any Irish, and none
