    The local Forge
    16th May, 1938
    There are six forges in this district of Granard, Co. Longford, and it had been carried on by their fathers and grandfathers. Their forges are situated on the principal leading streets of the town.
    Some of these forges are slated and the others have a flat wooden roof, which is covered with felt. They are only one storey high, with one or two windows and opens by two half -
