    Churning
    9th May, 1938
    The churns that are most common in this district of Granard, Co. Longford are the dash and barrel churns. The dash churn is made by the local cooper who resides in the town of Granard.
    Butter is made by the majority of the farmers about twice a week in Winter, and three times each week during the Summer months.
