    If the soot drops down the chimney it is a sign of rain.
    When the seagulls come inland it is a sign of a storm.
    A storm is near when there is a ring around the moon.
    If the weather is broken when there is a new moon, it remains like that during that quarter of the moon.
    If the clouds are low and heavy it will rain.
    When the fleecy clouds or "sacks of wool" are floating about there is bad weather.
