    butter in the bog to keep it cool when the could not get sale for it. The also used to do the same to keep it fresh.
    The used to eat buttermilk and potatoes for their dinner. They used to use wooden spoons and noggins. These noggins were wooden pails with two handles and two silver land around them. About a dozen of them still remain to be seen to the present day in a house in the district. This is Martins in tore in the Parish of Tyrrellspass and townland of Fartullagh.
