    There is an old house belonging to Miss Wallace in this village. When she died the thatch fell in and it was never repaired.

    Up the Gneeve Bawn road is an old broken down house belonging to Tom Garry. There is an old house on the Mullingar road.
    There is an old castle in this village which belongs to the Norman Family. It is a three story one. People say that at 12oc at night it is haunted and the spirit walk from the castle to Byrnes gate rattling chains.
