    Tyrrellspass (age 40)
    In those times priests were persecuted all over the country. There was a priest by the name of Fr. Carey. This priest was about to be hanged. It happened that the boys that were going to hang him, were feasting in Daniel's on Newforest. The priest was hanging on a tree with a rope around his neck and tied to the neck of the horse. The priest used to say, "Nan if you gang I hang" Then the priest got away and after some time they found him coming from saying mass. Then they tied him to the saddle of the horse and as he was going through Killavalley they met an old woman. She asked Barney
