    before the local horse fairs. Mostly all of them sell small articles, such as laces, saucepans, and safety pins. They never remain more than one night in one place. Very few of them travel on foot nowadays; they usually travel in caravans or in a horse and cart. Some of them travel in families; and others in bands. The Driscolls, the Sheridans, and the Coffeys visit this district frequently.
