    Homemade Toys.
Boys and girls used to spend a lot of their time in making toys. The chief toys which the boys made were the catapult, the bow and arrow, the kite and little ships and boats made out of plywood.Girls made dolls and strung daisies and buttercups.
When my mother was a small girl
she made rag-dolls.She made tops from thread spools and necklaces from daisies. She used to make rabbits from handkerchiefs by nutting?the hankerchief together.
