  1. In the townland of Lowertown there is a long hollow between two hills. One night a man was coming home from his ceilighe and he had to pass by this place. Suddenly he heard a humming voice coming towards him. Just then he met a very tall girl all dressed in a white garment.
    The next day he told some men what he saw. Four of them determined to lie in ambush the next night, so they did so. They lay behind a high tree. Just about one o'clock they heard the humming coming towards them, and the same girl passed by.
