    their side or a lock of hair is clipped off their side. Sometimes the town fairs are held in the streets and sometimes there is a special place for the fair. The place foor the fair in Bailiebore is called the Fair Green.
    Buyers come from very far away to buy animals. Sometimes animals are given in exchange for other animals. This was done especially long ago. Long ago if a person bought an animal from another person and if he could not pay for it in money, he could give labour or potatoes or some other thing for it in its place. The people generally pay for their animals now in money.
