  1. There are several forts in my district. They are in view of each other. They are all circular in shape. There are fences of earth all around them. There is the remains of an old fort in Leggah and a dairy is built on part of it. About twenty five ago there was a holly bush in this fort and it was dug out of it by the owner and planted in a meadow. On the following day he let out the cows. They went to where the bush was planted. One of the best of the cows lay down beside the bush. All the men in the district were gathered around to help to lift the cow and put her on her feet. They failed to lift her until some man suggested they should plant the bush back where it was. They did so. Immediately the
