  1. Nowadays a lot of people have haysheds but long ago the people always made hayricks. The hayricks are made in sheltery gardens. When a man had a hayrick to make the neighbours come to make some of it Some of them bring a horse and cart to draw in the hay. Sometimes the hay is brought in by "dragging" it
    Long ago the man who was having the hayrick had a barrel of porter When the men had the hayrick made they drank the porter Drink is too dear to buy nowadays but it was very cheap then. Men made a hayrick in about eight hours.
