  1. There is no spring well in our land but we go to Patrick Duffy's well. It is cleaned out every fortnight and sprinkled with lime. The well never dries up no matter how hot the weather is. This well is in a rock and there are ferns growing around it.
Sometimes we go to Michael Masterson's well. It is not as good nowadays as it was long ago. One very hot summer every well in the district went dry only it. People drew a lot of water from it and the people who then owned the well stopped the people from drawing it. The well went dry for a long time then. It never was as good since as it was before that.
