- One time there was a man. His name was John Colum Sonnagh. A ghost travelled with him every night from sunset. Every night the ghost went with him on his Céilíde. He had three or four stiles to cross. The ghost lifted him across each stile. He went one night to a gamble. The ghost went with him. The ghost told not to stay later than nine oclock as there would be a man killed in the house before morning. The man stood on till halfpast nine. They raised a row. It was settled. He advised them to quit. The man came outside the house. He met the ghost. The ghost said "I thought I told you not to stay long or pass any remarks to them", Colum and the ghost started for home. As they were going home a man came after them for the priest. A man was killed with a pounder. "Ha, Ha" says the ghost didn't I tell you there would be a man killed". They went home. A week later he was asked to go to a fair with a man with cattle. The man rose in the middle of the night. He had no clock. The ghost met him(continues on next page)
