   There are four persons put out on the road and the people on the sides of the road try to run across and if they are caught they will have to go out on the middle of the road and try and catch someone else. Then we play all of them out of doors. and we play Jack stones and marbles out of doors also. In the summer we go through the fields pulling flowers and gathering blackberries. We also go to the woods for nuts and then we have a great time cracking them and eating them. When we are sitting around the fires at home at night we give out riddles and start telling stories and also playing blind mans buff" and musical chairs" and guessing places. At night I play cards I play "Old maid" and "go to the graveyard". Other nights I play checkers, and snakes and ladders.
