- Travelling Folk still call to my house. The same people are coming this long time. They sell delph and various other articles. The people sell them horse-hair and rags. Nevin came from Leitrim and Joyce came from Athlone. The O'Leary's came from Abbeyshrule and Doyle came from Longford and the Powers came from Abbeyshrule. The McDonaghs came from Granard and the Flanagans came from Longford. Some of them sell small articles and sometimes the people buy from them. They stay a night in every place. They sleep in little camps and in vans. They do have food with them and they light a fire on the side of the road to cook the food. Some of them travel on foot others go round in vans drawn by horse. The travellers known best round here are the O'Leary's, Nevins, Joyces and Powers. The families that most frequently visit my district are the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
