They made it out of oats and barley and also it was made out of brown sugar and yeast. These people that made potyeen had to have running water close to their houses.Down in Cloonagh in a wood called Deeryveelick there lived a man named Thady Mac Dermot and he had a still for making potyeen.When old women are talking about potyeen they say "a little drop of craythur".Matilda Fair.
