nineteen people altogether in the townland. Faughalstown school which was built in 1866 is also situated in it.
The most common name in it is Murtagh
All the houses in it are slated.
It was called Streamstown because a stream flows through the townland and into Lough Derravaragh. There are no very old people living here now.
There were more houses in Streamstown long ago. There are six old houses in ruins now. The Hill Knock Eoin is in Streamstown. There is a hazel wood on Knock Eoin. The rest of the land has its hills too, but it is good for grazing or tillage. Any of the fields gives a good meadow.
