    Has opposition plenty.
Once from the slips away she slips,
    Unto the swine a pearl,
They say the wind she leaves behind,
    So swift is Bunty Girl.

For final tie she got a bye
To meet the dog called Tinker
    From Roseybrook, that cosy nook
They said he was a clinker.

  2. It would seem that Peter Kerr of Ardee was, to say the least, slow at paying hes debts. He owed McCann, an Ardee draper, for clothing and from Ben Turner he got a tricycle for which, when matters were getting hot, he offered as instalment a ram's skin. McCann made the following verse:
If you have a bill for Peter Kerr,
You may go and mark it "Paid"-
    Of a barrister or gripper
