    Once upon a time a man who lived near a hill had cattle grazing in an adjoining field. A man told him one day to take his cattle out of the field because that night there was going to be a big war on the hill.
    "What is it?" asked the owner of the cows.
    "There's going to be a big war between the Meath fairies and the Louth fairies".
    "And which of them will win?" said the man.
    "Well, you'll know tomorrow", said the other man. "If the bultherns are hanging their heads Meath won and Louth were beaten".

    "Bulthern" is the local pronunciation of "Buachallán", the ragwort.
