Deerman's wife was in bed pretending to be sick as they ordered her out of the bed but she would not for she said she would die. So the police lifted the bed and removed it to the other end of the room, under the bed there was a large hole sunk stand deep, and in the hole there was a barrell and it full of salted beef and mutton After this the police arrested Deernan
