If the old people were asked about this meal they would say the potatoes were peeled and pointed into a slice of butter. The supper consisted of porridge and a mug of milk.
The table was usually in the centre of the floor. When each meal was eaten the table was hung up on the wall. There was a ring on each side of the table and it was by these the table was hung up on the wall on nails.
