    Once upon time near my home, there lived a family named the Blenard Hassets, whose house was said to be haunted. Every night carriages were heard coming in the front avenue, and men coming to the hall door, and knocking, When the house maid answered the ring at the door, there was nobody to be seen or heard of, but still the creaking of their boots was heard going up and down stairs.
    The noise of bottles and glasses were hear also. The cry of the hounds, the cracking of the whips, and the noise of the hunts-men were heard so plainly, that the maids were in terror of their lives.
